ELECMAN® UL Certificate Steel Rigid Connector Compression Type
Steel Rigid Connector Compression Type is an electrical conduit fitting designed for use with rigid steel conduit. Unlike the set screw type, this connector utilizes a compression mechanism to secure and fasten the rigid steel conduit in place.
In this design, the connector features a compression nut and a threaded sleeve. The rigid steel conduit is inserted into the connector, and the compression nut is tightened onto the threaded sleeve, compressing it against the conduit. This creates a secure and tight connection, ensuring that the conduit is held firmly in place within the connector.
This compression type connector offers advantages in terms of ease of installation and removal. It allows for a quicker and tool-free assembly compared to set screw types, as it doesn't require the use of set screws. The compression mechanism also provides a strong and reliable connection, preventing the conduit from slipping or disconnecting.
The Steel Rigid Connector Compression Type is suitable for various industrial, commercial, and outdoor applications where rigid steel conduit is used. It meets the requirements of electrical codes and standards, providing a secure and dependable solution for joining sections of rigid steel conduit in electrical systems.
